Imagiarium at Galleria Alli

3–15 June 2025 Galleria Alli, Kerava

My Imagiarium exhibition is my first solo show, which makes Galleria Alli a place that will always stay close to my heart. It is the first space where the colourful and imaginative world of the Imagiarium steps into public view.

There are many delightful coincidences and personal connections. I live in an old wooden house in Puu‑Vallila, and the atmosphere of Galleria Alli feels strikingly similar — almost like stepping into my own living room. The gallery even has an old tiled stove, just like the one in my home. And to complete the circle, one of my beloved cats is named Alli. Could there be a more fitting place for the Imagiarium's debut?

Galleria Alli 3–15 June 2025

Galleria Alli is a charming yellow miniature villa located right next to the Kerava railway station. Built in the early 1900s, the wooden house is bright, two‑storey and full of character. In the courtyard stand traditional red‑painted log outbuildings, which also host local artisan events.

The villa was built by carpenter Karl Jacob Svensk (1883–1968) around 1914. At the same time, he planted the silver willows that still shelter the building each summer. The house narrowly survived the Winter War when a fragmentation bomb fell near its gate.

The City of Kerava acquired the building in 1988, and in 1990 it became the gallery space of Keravan Kuvataiteilijat ry. The gallery was named Alli after Alli Paasikivi. The first exhibition held there was a peace‑themed show, and since then the gallery has hosted a continuous programme of changing exhibitions.
