Described Works – Digi Cats

This collection consists of digital drawings where cats are depicted as simplified, graphic and stylised figures. The drawings are created digitally, and their visual character is built on clear shapes, contrasts and a limited colour palette.

The models for these drawings are my own cats, the black‑and‑white Alli and the black Ibis.

The cats appear in everyday, recognisable poses: sitting, stretching, grooming or resting. The poses are natural and familiar, yet the presentation is simplified and visually distilled.

In many works, details are reduced to a minimum, drawing attention to the posture, gaze and overall silhouette. Bright eyes often stand out against the dark figure, forming the focal point of the image.

The backgrounds are minimalistic, featuring recurring graphic elements such as dotted patterns and clean surfaces that support the overall composition.

In this described portfolio, the drawings unfold through verbal interpretation, allowing movement, posture and atmosphere to be experienced through sound.
