Acrylic on canvas 50x70cm.
At the center of the painting sits a black cat in an upright and almost perfectly symmetrical pose. It gazes directly forward with large yellowish eyes. The cat's fur is painted with careful realism: soft highlights shimmer across the dark surface, and individual hairs are visible especially around the chest and face.
On the cat's head is a striking ornamental headdress. At its center is a golden circular structure from which thin golden rods extend outward like rays. At the ends of these rods hang glossy red cherries, forming a crown-like halo around the cat. The headdress gives the figure an almost iconic presence.
The background is built from bright and decorative imagery. In the upper section, a pale blue sky opens behind large soft pink flowers with green leaves. The flowers resemble ornamental wallpaper or printed fabric motifs. On the left side of the cat appears a large golden fish whose round eye and sharply outlined scales give it an almost mythical quality. On the right side floats a large bright red cherry.
The lower portion of the composition is filled with a colorful floor or platform resembling mosaic or fragmented pieces assembled together. The surface contains rhythmic networks of red, turquoise, pale blue, white, and yellow tones.
The atmosphere of the artwork is simultaneously decorative, humorous, and slightly surreal. The realistically painted cat is combined with imaginative details and symbolic elements. The composition emphasizes the cat's calm presence at the center of a rich and vividly colored environment.
